If you’ve seen my Instagram post on these Lancome Matte Shakers, I mentioned that these shades Completely Nut! and Plum Plum Girl are my first Matte Shakers. The Sephora sale last December 2017 for it was such a good deal that I nearly bought all the available shades. I’m part proud that I only bought 2 shades, but disappointed at my self-control. XD I really ♥ the Matte Shaker formula.
I had my nails done! Ok, I know, it’s mundane, but hear me out. I do the dishes, do hand wash laundry every now and then on delicates, I cook, I clean, so nails are usually just cleaned but not polished. I clip my nails but I seldom get manicures. So seldom that it feels like a treat for myself when I do. And this sure is a treat to myself because as soon as I can leave my house, that first thing I plotted to do was go to Dior and get myself these two awesome blue shades from the Dior Summer 2018 collection.
Already in the mood to blog about this Pearlessence Sea Spray Beach Waves Texture Mist when it occurred to me that I haven’t blogged yet my US haul from last year, which includes this. Heck, I’ll still continue this review and schedule that haul post some time this month.
Anyway, I bought this texture mist from Marshalls late last year. It was so cheap at USD5.99.
Description and Use
The Pearlessence Sea Spray Beach Waves Texture Mist is:
“A unique hairstyling mist infused with Sea Salt, Marine Algae and Sea Fennel to add texture and fullness to all hair types. Create soft tousled waves with this weightless leave-in mist.”
I got my hands on the CoverGirl TruNaked Nudes and Goldens eyeshadows palettes before they were released here because I couldn’t wait. Actually, I didn’t have a good experience with an affordable/drugstore eyeshadow. It was a quad of neutrals that looked muddy on me and would darken over hours of wear. I didn’t like it. But I hate not using makeup or putting makeup to waste, so I just used the dark shades for my eyebrows. Since then, my eyeshadows of choice were from high-end brands. But the postive reviews on the CoverGirl TruNaked palettes got me intrigued and their swatches were promising.
CoverGirl only had three TruNaked palettes at the time–Nudes, Goldens, and Roses. I would have gotten Roses too, but I wasn’t into pinks. Read on further for a review per palette. 🙂
I was curious with cushion foundations, but knowing it has less product and could cost the same or more compared to a full-size bottle foundation has kept me from trying it. However, I could see it so convenient for travel. As I had a few trips lined up last year, I had the urge to get one. So I got my hands on Pony Effect Defense Longwear Cushion Foundation. Gotta have a Korean brand for my first cushion foundation. 🙂
About the brand
ADDICTION is by Ayako Yoshimura who was the right hand of Francois Nars before becoming NARS’ International Creative Director. In 2009, she released her brand under Kose in Japan.
When a friend told me of Ayako’s work history with Francois Nars, that confirmed why I found ADDICTION reminiscent of NARS makeup.
The only Addiction item I have (at the moment as I want to get more in the future) is the Cheek Polish in 09 Sensually.
After going through reviews on affordable primers, I decided to get the Catrice Prime and Fine – Pore Refining and Anti-Shine Base because it is liked by oily skin girls and accessible. I also felt the need to support a brand that doesn’t seem talked about much locally.
