I love high-end (and some luxury) products, but I also like some affordable and very cheap ones. By very cheap, I mean Daiso-cheap makeup. For some reason, I always find myself buying eyebrow products from them.
Daiso is a 100-yen shop, similar to a dollar store, that has a lot homeware, kitchenware, stationery, bath, and makeup items. Their products are usually priced at PhP88. Some go as low as PhP22 and high as PhP288. Daiso has a lot of makeup that you can do a full face with. Though not all are “Made in Japan,” which I prefer from them. I try not to be picky, but I need to careful with what I put on my face because it’s difficult and more expensive to deal with skin irritation and breakouts.
This is the only available eyebrow gel in Daiso Glorietta branch, but I have seen black and clear in other branches.
(Sorry about the quality of the photos. They were actually out of focus, which I should have checked with my glasses on. :/ I tried not to make them painful to look at.)
The wand is similar to a mascara’s. I was worried to use it at first because I might put on too much. I prefer a small wand similar to Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara and Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel. So I apply lightly and carefully to also not go beyond the brows.
The gel does have a brown tint that looks a bit orange on my skin. I find I still need to fill in sparse areas of my brows. When I put on more to fill in, which meant more product application, my eyebrows felt they were glued. They felt so stiff each time I raised my brows. Fortunately, my brows were undamaged after I removed it because it was really difficult to take it off. 😥 Longevity is good though since it kept my eyebrows in place without losing color for many hours.
For the hold and the very cheap price of Php88, I can recommend this, as long as you don’t put on too much. But its orange-brown finish might not work for everyone. The clear gel might be the best option for the hold.Other stuff you might also like:
