I’ve only used two liquid foundations ever. Instead of separate posts, I’ll just make one long one.
Estee Lauder Smoothing Creme Concealer in Medium 03
This is my first liquid concealer (but not exactly that in the picture) and it was a gift from either my Mom or Grandma’s sister. I forgot from whom. Anyway, the first time I used it, I was an instant convert to liquid concealer. Coverage is great for the dark area and fine lines under my eyes. Longevity is 8 hours and more if the day is good. 😛 Its consistency is thick and it settles quite fast, so I need to apply quickly. Estée Lauder, as we all know, is a high-end and costly brand. I finish this concealer to the last drop. But for its worth, this tube can last for months on.
Paul & Joe Under Eye Concealer in 03
I only realized as I typed in the shade of this Paul & Joe concealer that the shade names of the two concealers are the same. XD
If you remember, I had a Paul & Joe haul last December 2014. One of them is the Under Eye Concealer which I purchased because it’s cheap. I thought the expensive Estée Lauder might be too much for daily use. This one has a slightly thin consistency. Coverage is so-so; not the best one to use when I lack sleep and my eyes look stressed as F. Oftentimes I apply or squeeze out more than I would with the prior. Longevity is about 4 to 6 hours.
It works well with my current foundation, the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup in Sun Beige.
The Paul & Joe concealer is lighter than the other. I actually didn’t know that before this post. 😛 But it blends with my skin color after application. Here’s a side-by-side swatches of the liquid concealers.
Between the two, I love and would recommend the Estée Lauder Smoothing Creme Concealer. I’m already on my third tube. 😀 When I finish the Paul & Joe Under Eye Concealer, I would need another for my ‘daily use.’ Recommendations would be great. I don’t mind a drugstore brand btw.
