Korres is one brand that I so want to love and be a favorite, but that they’re not easily accessible so that makes it impossible. I was on a trip to US at the time they released the Goddess Beauty, which contains several of their makeup. I knew I could get it. I could try several Korres products in one purchase. But I went to a couple of Sephora stores (I remember my mom complaining) and didn’t find it. Then I went to a branch near the hotel I was staying at and found a few. I thought hard whether or not I should get it. I browsed the store twice, but I knew it had taken my heart. LOLOL!
The Goddess Beauty Limited Edition Color Edition contains the following: Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Face Primer, Magic Light Contouring Face Trio in Santorini, Cherry Lip Gloss in Pale Pink 23, and Volcanic Minerals Mascara in Obsidian. Below are reviews for each item.
Quercetin & Oak Face Primer
Breathable, silicon-free face primer smoothes the appearance of wrinkles and provides a perfectly even skin surface, ensuring long-lasting makeup wear.
The face primer is 0.34oz sample size. In spite its good reviews, I wanted to love it and wish for a regular-sized tube, but its smell… It was so odd. It’s hard to describe.
For what it’s supposed to do, I can’t say if it did anything for my wrinkle. It did even out my skin, prolonged my makeup, and prevented the makeup from being patchy as I used to have dry skin. Like foundation, you only need a pea-sized amount.
Magic Light Contouring Face Trio in Santorini
A trio of weightless powders accentuates natural features, while adding shape, dimension and with focus on your skin.
It’s one of the two products in the collection that is full-sized.
The powder has fine shimmers, but barely show on skin when applied yet gives a nice natural glow. The three shades can be used each on their own or mixed and applied on parts of the face for a subtle glow. The finish can be quite natural or intensified.
This is my most favorite contouring powder I own that I kind of not want to use anymore just to save it up. LOL! I used this so much for months, but barely made a dent yet. 😀 I have yet to find a dupe or replacement before I hit the pan.
Cherry Lip Gloss in Pale Pink 23
High shine color lip gloss with cherry extract, a natural source of antioxidants.
The Cherry Lip Gloss is a true pale pink and has a semi-opaque glossy finish. Due to its shade, it can be difficult to apply this evenly, but it can still be evened out after a few more applications.
The longevity is quite good for a gloss as it stays on for almost 4 hours. It can be quite tacky though, so I have to keep my hair from getting on it otherwise I’ll have streaks of gloss on my face. XD; I would love to use this often even with its tackiness, but very light gloss shades is difficult for me to pull off.
Tried to do those Instagram lipstick poses. HAHA! Oh, the lip gloss is the other full-sized product btw.
Volcanic Minerals Mascara in Obsidian
I haven’t read anything about Korres’ mascara, but this is my ultimate HG and I haven’t found another that could replace it.
The mascara is only 0.12oz, sample-size. I’m amazed on how thick the bristles are and could fit in the tiny hole of that tube.
Increase lash volume by 600%. Long-wearing, blackest black mascara adds volume without weight for visibly scuplted lashes.
This doesn’t increase my lash volume by 600%. Not at all! But it does give the volume I want without clumping and even lengthening. I don’t want to lengthen my lashes because I wear glasses (both for my poor eyesight and shades–I love sunglasses!). I have photos of my eyelashes,
I love the thick bristles. I could apply mascara without a care and not make a mistake. It’s magic, I tell you!
The LE collection went for USD42, which is very cheap compared to purchasing the products individually.
So there’s my review of the Korres Gddess Beauty Limited Edition Color Collection. It has taken me so long to post the review. Some of the photos here are old. LOL! I checked the official website of Korres and didn’t see the contouring trio and face primer. The lip gloss is still available. I’m unsure with the mascara if that in the website is the same as mine.
Korres has more skin care products and I’ve read they’re quite good. I kind of believe in the brand, so I recommend checking them out if you can. 🙂Other stuff you might also like:
