This week _I shall challenge myself_ to blog about lip glosses. Good luck to me! Because you know how I can be such a procrastinator. 😛
I’m trying to like NYX lip products. Well, lip products are what I only own from them. I can’t say I fully like them. The NYX Butter Glosses are a hype over a lot of many beauty bloggers. I thought I should try as well. I got the Cherry Pie shade.
Cherry Pie is a red lip gloss that can be layered from slight sheer to very opaque coverage. The size of the lip gloss’s brush applicator is right for my thin lips. I forgot to take a picture of that. LOL
The lip gloss is indeed buttery that when I put on a lot it feels as though it will bleed, but it doesn’t. Thankfully. 😛 Applying the lip gloss, besides with the okay size of the applicator, is easy when I have lip balm on. The lip balm also prolongs the butter gloss on my lips and helps leave a slight stain after two or three hours which is already its usual longevity. Without lip balm, the butter gloss feels tacky and the color disappears quickly even though the shine is still there.
I do understand that it exceeds expectations because it’s very affordable that’s why so many likes it. But the tackiness without lip balm and short longevity (because I have other lip glosses that stay on longer) leaves me disappointed that I may not try the other shades. Maybe I will… If I feel doing so. 😛
