I’m finally doing a project pan!
Until a couple of years ago, I always had to empty or hit pan before I buy new makeup. Eventually, with all the seemingly good releases and my unexpected liking for Dior, I’ve amassed a lot of makeup that emptying or hitting pan has become a challenge. So I’m doing that challenge this year. Not to buy new ones–except skincare, of course–but to lessen clutter and make way for still unopened makeup.
Before 2017 ended, I already listed the makeup and skincare I want to use up this 2018. Some like contour and bronzers could be really difficult to hit pan on, but I will do my best!
Repairwear Laser Focus™ Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream
My go-to eye cream when I get crows feet and fine lines near the inner corner of my eyes. I used this years ago then stopped because I thought I only had those lines out of stress from
shitty ex-boyfriends. LOL! But the wrinkles returned and I hate when concealers settle on them, so I had to repurchase. The Clinique Repairwear is pricey, but worth it considering how long I have been using it.
Clinique Acne Solutions Acne+Line Correcting Serum
I always had hormonal acne. Sometimes it would take a month before they would heal or sometimes they don’t because, by then, I would have my period again. It was annoying and also stressful, which I know can also trigger acne. This serum helped lessen or quickly heal any acne.
I think my bottle still has a tiny amount left. At the time I did this list, I think I was already halfway the bottle. I guess in a couple of days this will already go in the bin.
Since I got mine at Marshalls and I know it would only take luck to find this there again, I have second thoughts on repurchasing at its original price. I now use other products that has kept hormonal acne from occurring anyway. But should my face go cray again, I would definitely get this. I trust Clinique after all; they’re a brand I always go back to.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
My second bottle of Mario Badescu rose spray that is gentle and doesn’t ruin my makeup. This is travel-sized. I can easily finish this.
Dior Lip Maximizer
Sometimes I include this in my evening skin care routine.
Advanced Clinicals Coconut Visible Repair Body Oil
This should be under body care, but there’s no other body care except for this so I thought I would just include this here. 😛 I often use this on my legs
Project Pan: Makeup
I have a lot of makeup to use up.
Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Fluid Foundation
A serum-type, lightweight foundation with light to medium coverage. I think this is becoming one of my favorite foundations.
I forgot to take a photo of how much is remaining, but I think it’s just a little less than half the bottle.
Maybelline Fit Me! Matte+Poreless Foundation
First impressions: glam.love/first-impressions-maybelline-fitme-matteporeless-foundation/
My daily or work foundation of choice. Actually, I already used this up last month. 😀
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind
I prefer this over the Fit Me! Concealer because it has better longevity. Its shade is too light for me, however, but I heard Maybelline recently added more shades.
Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Powder
My HG powder for setting and oil-control. If you look closely, the tub is empty. Or almost. There’s still enough for my nose, I think. 😆
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Oil-Free
I need to do a review update on this primer.
Wet n Wild Coloricon Bronzer Ticket to Brazil
I use this sometimes on top of the contour shade of the Diorblush (listed after this) to sometimes set or when it seems I’ve put on too much of the Diorblush contour shade.
Dior Diorblush Light & Contour
I like the contour stick as a bronzer, yet not so much the highlighter because it’s too shimmery. Too much even for me who likes shimmers.
NARS Contour Blush Talia
Still my favorite contour powder. 🙂 I have another from a different brand, but I haven’t used it much yet to know if it will top this or not. I’ll find out soon. 🙂
There’s a slight dent already. Yay!
Laura Mercier Baked Blush
Still my favorite bronzer. I don’t use it too often anymore because I’m afriad
The bronzer doesn’t look too protruding than how I remember it.
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage
This concealer is often recommended for those with oily skin. I like this for spot concealing, but not so much for under the eyes. I haven’t used it since I started using the Benton Fermentation Eye Cream though. I’ll give it a try again.
L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise
I used this up way past a mascara’s supposed expiration of 3 or 6 months–I can’t remember. If 6 months, then it dried out just in time. I started using this tube last August and it dried out last week.
CoverGirl TruNaked Nudes
One of the good quality, recommendable eyeshadows that is affordable. I have oily eyelids and this doesn’t crease and holds well for about 10 to 12 hours.
I am actually tempted to get the Roses version. There’s the Jewels, but I have an Urban Decay palette that I hardly use with similar shades.
Estee Lauder Artist’s Eye Pencil in Softsmudge Brown
I still have this because I often forget about it when I get a new eye pencil. Also, I _am_ one of those who will only dispose makeup when they start to smell and/or look funky or don’t perform as much as it did when it was still “fresh.”
I still like this eye pencil because it doesn’t give me panda eyes, it is between soft and hard that makes lining easy with no tugging, and doesn’t set right away so there’s time to blend (with an angled liner brush).
My go-to when I’m in a hurry or lazy to do an eye look, but still want color on the lids. I sometimes use this as a base or primer as well.
Dior Lip Glow 005 Lilac
My most favorited lip balm. 🙂
Dior Lip Glows looks differently on each person depending on their skin tone. It’s one of the very few lip balms that doesn’t make my lips flake. I could rave about this, but I’ll save that for next time now that I have three other shades. 😀
Lilac looks very pink on me and gives me juicy lips. ♥ I can’t be without this or any other of my Lip Glows wherever I go. When I can’t choose for a lip color on a certain day, I just grab one of these.
Guerlain Intense Liquid Matte Lipstick M06 Charming Beige
If I want a matte nude lip, I often gravitate to this one. It came to the point that I have to remind myself that I have other matte nudes.
Sephora Cream Lip Stain 35 Bohemian Purple
My first Sephora Cream Lip Stain and it has become my favorite for its formula and the shade. I didn’t expect I would love purple lip makeup. This and the previous lip products are easy for me to use up because they’re my favorites. 🙂
Dior Diorific Matte Fluid 003
I was into shades similar to this for a few years until I got into purples and lilacs. The Diorific Matte Fluids are often released on holidays and are for lips and cheeks. This range is my favorite liquid blush because it stays put even on my oily skin. On the lips, it has more weight than the Guerlain Intense Liquid Matte Lipstick, but still feels nice. I find it moisturizing too.
Chanel Le Crayon Lèvres 32 Natural
My only natural/skin-tone lip liner, but a little light on me so it makes my lip glosses and lipsticks on top of it look lighter too.
Project Pan updates
So, that’s everything! That was a long one. I will update by mid-year or earlier if there’s already big difference in any of these products. 🙂 I’m excited to use all of these because I know (and miss) that feeling of satisfaction.
