FOTD: Slow Saturday

Yesterday seemed like a slow day. There were hardly any people in the malls. I guess everyone stayed in because of the rain or went on a trip to make the most of the long weekend. While I, on the other hand, hung out with Jan from afternoon until late evening for Army Navy and Starbucks coffee (I’m helping her collect stickers). I went out in a semi-sporty attire, so I put on a near-natural eye make-up.

First time I tried my recently acquired Clinique eye shadow palette that contains soft pinks and sheer matte brown.

FOTN: My Brother’s Post-Birthday Celebration

We celebrated my brother’s birthday last night. His birthday was actually last Thursday, July 28. Fortunately, I got to leave office early because of an evacuation drill. I was able to prepare myself with a simple look. 🙂

FOTN 2011-0729 003
My right eye is a bit red ^^;;;

Face:

  • Etude House BB Cream
  • Estee Lauder Smoothing Creme Concealer

I didn’t put any blush-on because my skin’s still reddish from the beach. Well, I rarely use blush-on anyway.

I think this came out blurry.
Sorry, kind of in a hurry. (They rhyme! :P)

ToyCon FOTD with Estee Lauder Berry Ice

I had a ToyCon FOTD draft, but decided against on posting it. The makeup was too light then (or the pictures came out that way), so it seemed pointless to post makeup that’s not too obvious or hardly visible. I deleted the pictures yet I couldn’t take not posting an FOTD. So last night I came out with this look:

Face:

  • Missha Moist Foundation

Link Share: The Beauty Department

The Beauty Department contains useful tutorials, tips, and news on any beauty-related. Their site is simple and straight-forward. At first I wasn’t that intrigued until I read their makeup posts. Here’s a few that I found informative:

Brush Class

Even though I am into makeup, I’m still confused about the brushes and their uses. It’s hard to believe there can be so many just for makeup (some would actually even use paintbrushes).

Good Morning, Mr. Blemish!
I believe all girls hate waking up to see a zit or whatever blemish on their face. This post is a guide on how to hide them naturally or treat them.

FOTD: PRC Duty

I scheduled today to go to PRC to get a Certificate of Board Rating. Pictures were taken after I got home, so my makeup is mixed with all the pollution from Manila. LOL

Pro-Tip: Beauty Brand Pronunciation Guide

guide

I’m sure this has happened to you too. You go to a mall and a saleslady comes up to you and asks if you need help with anything. You say you want to try [insert brand name here] and she just looks blankly at you or asks you to repeat the name. Then she realizes that you are referring to [insert brand name here] and subtly mentions the correct pronunciation of the brand while you, on the other hand, want the earth to swallow you whole. There’s no need to feel so embarrassed. Mispronunciation of brand names happens to the best of us, even the richest socialite!

FOTD: Sunday Baptism and date with Marsha look

The baptism of my cousin’s son was held in the early afternoon of December 12, 2010. I went in my dark purple blouse, so I chose colors that slightly matched it.
