Last August 17, I tagged along Shabby to this Rustan’s Beauty Addict Beautiful You convention in Makati. In all honesty, I came for the drinks (haha!) and checking the goods was second priority. At some point that night, I ended up in Chanel, swatching their Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour, boy oh boy, I fell in love with one particular shade: 154 Experimente.
I have a couple of Biore sunscreens that I loved, but they eventually irritated my skin. It’s disappointing because they worked so well under makeup and kept my face matte for nearly eight hours. So I had to do another research and discovered through another oily-skin girl the Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV SPF50+ PA++++. 🙂
Anyway, in Canmake’s website, the gel sunscreen is described as so:
The Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray is the second face mist I have used.
How to use (from Clinique)
Hold 10-12″ from face. Close eyes and spray a light mist.
Use in addition to daily moisturizer, under or over makeup, whenever skin feels thirsty.
Avoid spraying into eyes.
For all skin types.
How I use it:
I wanted to publish this before the Essence All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder, but I remembered I haven’t edited this post. 😆
A subtle pop of dewy color for lips and cheeks. Our nourishing tint with safflower, jojoba and sunflower seed oils feels luscious yet lightweight. Fluid-gel formula slips on with ease thanks to a convenient wand applicator that delivers the perfect amount every time. Shake well before applying.
My lips get very dry and flaky after a few days of regular or liquid lipsticks use, so I would eventually need to use lip balms for a few days. But I dislike how my lips look without color and my tinted lip balms dry it too. So when I discovered the Clinique Pop Oil Lip & Cheek Glow in Black Honey, I became a lip oil convert.
I mentioned in our November-December beauty favorites that the Essence All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder is the best affordable setting powder.
The plastic compact feels slightly sturdy and light. Easy to slip in a purse or vanity kit for touch-ups, but a separate puff or dense powder brush is still needed. The latter works better btw.
Better late than never. 😆
The holiday season is the busiest time of the year. Not only with the Christmas rush of gift shopping and/or get-togethers, but work deadlines too, which is difficult when you’re already feeling the holidays. I didn’t get to switch beauty and skin care products when December came because I was very busy to bother. Besides, almost everything I used in November I ended up liking so much that I didn’t want to switch yet. Even so, there are only a few that I really loved and would consider favorites. I think the same goes for Joiz. 🙂 I’ll begin with hers.
22 May 2018 Update: After this post, I eventually had different thoughts on this foundation. So I’m updating this review, but the gist of it is it’s okay but I won’t repurchase nor recommend anymore.
I’ve been interested with Essence makeup, so I took advantage of their sale and got a few products including the Essence All About Matt! Oil-Free Make-up foundation.
Mattifying, oil-free foundation for a flawless and radiant finish. covers imperfections without clogging the pores. the formulation is long-lasting and moisturzing. dermatologically tested.
