Getting dry skin on this relatively chilly weather

Hasn’t it been very cold lately? Colder than last year’s and this chilly weather even started earlier than I expected. I like it actually because I get to wear my jackets, sweaters, or blazers to work without arriving in the office looking as though I took a bath in my own sweat. But the AC in our office adjusts to the weather outside (because it’s fucked like that), so if baby it’s cold outside, then it’s way colder in the office. With the cold weather outside and chiller office, my skin from head to toe has suffered from extreme dryness. Thankfully I don’t have scaly skin, but it’s still annoying. I had to change some of my skin care products to keep up with my extremely dry skin.

Olay White Radiance does wonders!

Hello all! I apologize for not blogging for months. I was busy with, uhm, work and even social life. SOCIAL LIFE! LOL. I also went on a vacation last month until last week. Now I got more stuff I wanna show and review. 🙂

I haven’t gotten around to editing pics of my new purchases and those I bought before that are still on pending review. But here’s a review of Olay White Radiance that I have emptied out ages ago (picture was also taken ages ago LOL). My Mom gave me a jar… For a reason — She said I looked terrible! Well, I was at my most low at the time that I let myself go for a while. Zombies probably looked better than I did.

Travelling with Malin + Goetz

About a year ago, I got a travel kit gift that came along with an IPL package I bought from my now-favourite waxing store. The gift was a Malin+Goetz essential kit containing their best selling cleanser and moisturiser for face, body and hair–Grapefruit Face Cleanser, Vitamin E Face Moisturizer, Bergamot Body Cleanser, Vitamin b5 Body Moisturizer, Peppermint Shampoo and Cilantro Conditioner–all in nifty 1 oz (29 mL) bottles.

Garnier Oil Clear Pore Tightening and Anti-Shine Astringent

Obviously, I failed the ten-post challenge. ^^;;; I even prepared photos of products for review, yet I couldn’t blog in the past week because I was very busy and exhausted. But that doesn’t mean I won’t do it anymore. 😛

Anyway, I’ll be reviewing now this cheap but effective toner:

Garnier OilClear 001v2
Garnier Oil Clear Pore Tightening and Anti-Shine Astringent

I got interested in Garnier after I tried their Light Complete Multi-Action Whitening Cream. Thanks to Netbooster Asia and Garnier, I got more Garnier products to try including the Oil Clear Astringent. 🙂 I was very happy when I received this as I need anything that would control the oiliness of my t-zone.

Lucas’ Papaw Ointment

I know what you’re thinking… Ointment. Really? This isn’t a pharmacy, is it? Let me explain.

I discovered this ointment from my cousin, Christine, who gave me a few grams to cure a wound on my nasal septum.

The what now? Haha, ok, see I caught this terrible cold while traveling to Sydney. During the trip and when I got there, I kept blowing my nose that eventually the insides of one of my nostrils got irritated, it had lesions and had started bleeding. Septum, in anatomy, is a wall, dividing a cavity or structure into smaller ones. So nasal septum means my nostril, and by wound, I don’t mean a piercing. The wound was opposite of an accessory, IT. WAS. A. DISASTER.

Nivea Good-bye Cellulite Gel

Nivea body’s Good-bye Cellulite Gel “visibly reduces the appearance of cellulite.” The gel contains L-Carnitine that is “naturally present in the skin” and converts fat components to energy. The daily use of this gel will therefore be beneficial to our skin as it reduces visible cellulite.

Nivea Good-bye Cellulite 001
Nivea Body Good-bye Cellulite Gel
Made in France
200ml, 6.8fL oz

My first tube of this gel was from my mum. Since I like to wear shorts (as my mum said) and I wear skirt for office five days a week, she got me a tube and advised me to apply it everyday. I admit I have cellulite on my thighs. Yet they don’t seem to be that terrible-looking. LOL But I might as well start using such product before these annoying cellulite worsens. 😛

Surviving Sunburn

I’ve finally decided that I get sunburns when the Sun is covered by clouds, and you are tricked into thinking you don’t need as much sunscreen on you.

Last Friday, I got nasty sunburns (again) on my shoulders and half of my back, and as I’ve said on all my social networks: it is slightly more soothing to stay naked than trying to get your sunburnt self into clothes.

Review: Clarins Lait Demaquillant Velours (Cleansing Milk)

My search for a makeup remover led me to the Clarins counter. I’ve tried the Lait Demaquillant Velours before but the maid broke the bottle I bought. It’s only a few days ago that I replaced it. I bought a bottle of Benefit Gee That Was Quick Makeup Remover when I was in Singapore but I stored it in my carry-all so the airport lady confiscated it. What a waste of money *tears*
