FOTN: Stone Fox

Yesterday, I posted in my website a review of NYX Liquid Suede in Stone Fox–A deep gray with blue undertone liquid creme lipstick. I mentioned that I did a look with it.

With a gray lipstick, it’s easy to look dead or washed out. So I did this makeup somewhat as a guide to help create a look to match with the rockin’ Stone Fox. 🙂 Tbh, I forgot most of the products I used, but you don’t have to limit yourself to the same products. You can use what you already have or something similar.

This is without Stone Fox:

An appropriate for day or work look paired with any nude or light pink lipstick or gloss. The makeup is very simple–Neutral and slightly shimmery eye shadows, winged liner, contour, some bronze, and a bit of blush. I didn’t have any lip product on. I’m glad my camera didn’t show that my lips actually look sickly irl. 😀

And here’s with Stone Fox on:

Stone Fox is probably the most unique shade I have. It changed my look from innocent to bitch. LOL!

I applied a light pink that’s slightly shimmery on my lids and some brown on the crease for a bit of depth. I know it’s not that obvious in the picture, but there really is a crease shadow there. 😛 Then I put on eyeliner using Laura Mercier’s Tightline Cake Eyeliner with a bit of a wing. If I remember correctly, that’s my second attempt ever to create a winged liner. Not the best nor Instagram-level worthy, but it’s… Cleanly done? 🙂 For contour, I used theBalm Bahama Mama and, for bronzer, it’s one of the Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzers.

Here’s a shot with flash to clearly see the other ‘colors’ on my face:

I think that, instead of packing up on eye shadows, a thick eyeliner is a better match for Stone Fox. I tried another gray shade lipstick with my usual day makeup and I looked very washed out.

I hope you liked this makeup look. 🙂
