Maybelline White Super Fresh

I find myself lucky because whenever I run out of any beauty stuff it’s mostly when there are promos. There was also the ‘beauty emergency’ I had and Maybelline was also on sale then. They seem to have a year-round sale. XD;

Some three months ago, my L’Oreal Mat Magique All-in-One Matte Transforming Powder has hit pan at last. It wasn’t working well for me anymore either. Even my foundation. My skin has become oilier, which is still a mystery to me but that would be another story. Anyway, I can’t be without powder really, so it was right timing when Maybelline had another sale. Although what I bought wasn’t really at promo price, but still preeeeeetty cheap. It’s the Maybelline White Super Fresh — Claimed as “the no touch up powder foundation” and promises a 12-hour fresh and matte face.

The promise of 12-hour fresh and matte face is far-fetched and, with my oily face, that wasn’t possible although it does keep my face not too oily at least for most of my work shift. With a spritz of Mario Badescu Facial Spray, the face powder stays on longer and works wonderfully as though my makeup is freshly applied.

Luckily, I was able to get the natural shade because it’s a match for my skin tone as well as with my current foundation. I thought the face powder was translucent, but I found out after some Google search that this comes in three shades of sand beige, nude beige, and natural.

The face powder has SPF34 (and so does my foundation), yet it seems I would still need another face sunscreen. Last Saturday, I was checking the blemishes on my face since I’m still considering which skin care to get for them and I noticed that my face has gotten dark and dull-looking. =_= But I have the Biore to save the day! I’ll save that for another post. 🙂

Overall, this is a great drug store face powder; an alternative to high-end ones that works for oily skin in such a case as mine. And it’s only PhP299, so it’s definitely worth trying. And because I really like this face powder, we included it in our giveaway! 😀 Head on here for details.
