Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm

Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm

Besides with gadgets, I’d hate to forget anything and end up buying when I could get something else instead. So I packed my vanity kit a few days before my India trip. I needed to pack my Bifesta, which was already more than halfway the bottle. I thought I could empty and dispose that on the trip. Since packed early, I needed a new makeup remover to use on the days before the trip. At the time, micellar water and the likes of Bifesta seemed weren’t enough to clean my face. My face broke out at the time. Then I heard one of my favorite beauty vloggers talk about Clinique’s Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm.

BCL BrowLash Ex Gel Oil Eye Makeup Remover

My Estee Lauder Gentle Makeup Remover has gone into my empties bin. You know it’s worth the money if it takes you too long to empty. As much as I want to get another high-end brand of makeup remover, I opted for a cheaper alternative. I wanted The Balm’s Balms Away, but the three Beauty Bar branches I’ve been to didn’t have it. When I went to Landmark Makati, I found the BCL Browlash Ex Gel Oil Eye Makeup Remover. 🙂

Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

I thought I already ran out of makeup removers. Turns out I have another small bottle of the Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. This is probably my third bottle. All of which came from Estee Lauder makeup sets. 😀

Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover 001v2

I like that this is not oily, fragrance-free, and wipes out eye makeup without leaving residue. It just cannot remove right away stubborn eye liners and mascaras, but it can so when a soaked cotton (with the makeup remover) is placed on the eyes a little longer — say, 20 seconds — then lightly swiped off. That works for me somewhat. The makeup remover isn’t irritating on my eyes. I guess that isn’t so for others?

Goody and Glam Works Makeup Remover

I forgot I took pictures of a couple of stuff I bought from last weekend. ^^;;;

Glam Works Makeup Remover
PhP49 for both from Watsons

The makeup remover quickly and effortlessly removes makeup. Even my stubborn mascara. It has a faint smell of aloe vera. Not annoying, but I’m not a fan of scented wet tissues.

Goody hairpins
Surprisingly affordable for the brand. Well, they’re just hairpins after all.

I was about to buy a cheap hairpin set, but decided against it. The hairpins looked like they would scrape off my scalp. So I browsed the Goody section (in Landmark) and found those in the picture above. The small hairpins cost less than PhP50 and the other was around PhP80.

Maybelline Makeup Remover for Eye and Lip

I got the Maybelline Makeup Remover for free with a purchase of all the Maybelline Fruit Jelly lip glosses.

Maybelline Make-up Remover
Maybelline Makeup Remover in 40mL

This makeup remover is almost transparent until shaken which turns to blue for a minute or two. Like clean water, it is transparent in cotton and doesn’t have any smell. Having no scent assures it is gentle on the eyes. When I use this, I only do two or three squeezes. I soak the cotton more if I have eyeliner on. One wipe removes about 95% of the eye makeup. I have only tested this once on the lips and it removed all the lipstick in just one wipe. But my lipstick was near gone before I removed it. Because this is Maybelline, I expected that it will remove the Maybelline Magnum Volum’Express right away. Unfortunately, it didn’t.
